After 3 years on my build list the Porsche Carrera GT has finally become a reality! This build is 75% parts from Lego Ferrari Daytona set 42143 and uses the same gearbox.

When the Ferrari Daytona arrived with all the new parts it seems ideal to utilize the parts for this curvy car, attempting to faithfully replicate this iconic design.

Loaded with functions - 8speed Manual gearbox, a button under the grill to open the hood, a knob to raise and lower the rear wing, two levers to open each door, drive neutral reverse shifter, removable hard top, newly designed inboard front suspension to keep the bodywork low at the front, opening engine cover with a V10 engine and a hidden compartment to switch through the gears.
It was my challenge to make this the most playable model, not just for looks but loaded with functions too. Finding new ways to create realistic interior and dash, using the brand new panels, it’s a dream to work with such cool new @lego parts!!!
PLEASE NOTE: 6X PN 62531 3X11 CURVED PANELS ARE EXPENSIVE. ALTERNATE PANEL 11954 WOULD BE MUCH CHEAPER.
